Northampton Bike Breakfast Dodges Rain, Wins Day

Scored on of these.

Oh, yeah. All week the rain’s been doing its level best to deter would be cyclists from participating in Bike Week activities.

But the Bike Breakfast yesterday in Northampton dodged the rain and had cyclists of all types coming together to share food and love of cycling in the Pioneer Valley.Cyclist at Bike Breakfast

I got to spend a couple of hours helping set up, saying hello to old friends, and meeting people I only knew through electronic interactions. The food and give-aways were bonus’.Good, useful stuff for cyclists.

More photos after the jump.

So, thanks to Jim Montgomery, who took on the huge task of organizing the breakfast on behalf of MassBike Pioneer Valley Chapter, and James Lowenthal, chapter president.

Thanks to the businesses which donated items: Northampton Coffee, Just Soap, Paul & Elizabeth’s Restaurant, Bruegger’s Bagels, Stop & Shop, (I know there are more, but my memory is flagging. I’ll add to this list if someone passes me the information). Let them know you appreciate their support.

Lots of carbs here.

There’s a bunch of Bike Week activities left this week. Try and make a couple if you can.
