Fall Gems In Pioneer Valley

I write a lot about how beautiful it is here, but this photo of the Connecticut River with the Berkshire Mountains in the background takes my breath away. I thought you might appreciate it.

I took this at the Alexandra Dawson Conservation Area in Hadley, MA. Avery and I stopped here on the last day of the MassBike Pike in 2007, a multi-day ride across Massachusetts. This was the last stop before the trip ended at Look Park. We’d seen many lovely things on that trip, but seeing this view just across the river from our home reminded us that we live in a beautiful place.
